A thriving resort Wind back to 1990 and Hisaronu, nestled inland on Turkey’s southwest coast, was a quiet village. It began to develop as an overspill of nearby Olu Deniz, and is now a bustling destination in its own right. It’s full of bars and clubs that keep things pumping through the night, and it’s just a short dolmus ride from some of Turkey’s most jaw-dropping beaches. Spectacular Blue Lagoon Hisaronu doesn’t have its own beach but Olu Deniz is just 4 kilometres away – there’s a regular dolmus between the 2. Along with the main beach, you also get the spectacular Blue Lagoon, a conservation area known for its sparkling azure water. You’ll find canoes and pedaloes on the waterfront, and plenty of cafés serving up drinks and snacks. Buzzy by night Hisaronu is fast developing a reputation for being a party hotspot. Most of the clubs and bars are clustered along the main street, and you’ll find a real mix – karaoke, foam parties, cabaret, drag acts, and more. You’ll also find more laid-back bars if you just want a drink – and for more nightlife options, it’s just a short dolmus ride to Fethiye.
